The AECC Torrevieja branch is also heavily involved in the running of a Mobile Unit, dedicated to caring for the cancer related terminally ill and also give counselling to family members.
The unit, which has three specialists on hand at all times, is available to all living in the Vega Baja region and is controlled by the Oncology Unit of Elche General Hospital.
The funding of the unit is the responsibility of the AECC and without the donations from so many generous private individuals, clubs and societies this would be an impossible task.
