So I just received a random "hi xox" message from a random person on PSN. The conversation didn't evolve correctly once I showed signs of pushback.

It was possible that someone somewhere hacked into the system and were controlling it with a laptop or a smartphone app, but there was no way of knowing who that was or whether they were living nearby or on the other side of the country. “Undoubtedly” sounds like a better word choice, given a webcam swiveling about without its owners’ input and strangers’ voices coming through.
Police say the suspects also looked into the windows and may have been attempting to steal a television.
“Peering into windows of homes is kind of an indicator that they likely had intentions to break into that home,” RCMP Const. Police took fingerprints at the scene to help identify the suspects, but say video provided by the homeowner is the key piece of evidence the investigation.
